Vet Dogs was founded in 2003. The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind (Vet Dogd parent organization) recognized the need for an assistance dog program for veterans, giving them easy access to the best services possible to improve their lives.

Gift of Life Gala

Amityville Club's Gift of Life Gala will be held on June 3, 2026 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. This lovely event, held at The Piermont in Babylon, will include a cocktail hour, open bar, as well as a delicious dinner.You will have an opportunity to meet our honorees and learn all about the positive impact they have in the community.. There will be raffles and a 50-50 drawing as well.

Duck Race

Fourth Annual Duck Race held at the Amityville Beach! Purchase a "Duck" with an assigned number for $25, or a "Quack Pack" of five ducks for $100. Come down and watch your Duck land in the water and cheer it on to the finish line. There will be several "heats" with prizes to the top three finishers in the final race! $1000 for First Place, $500 for Second Place and $250 for Third Place.  There are lots of sponsorship opportunities also available to help support all the charitable organizations who will benefit from this amazing FUNdraiser! You do not need to be present to win, but it sure is a lot of fun to be there!
