The goal of our club's Student of the Month program is to recognize monthly at a regular meeting a student who represents the basic tenets of Rotary: community and human service, charity, equality and kindness. Because of Covid restrictions this past year students could not be presented with a certificate and gift each month in person. On May 24th Rotary members were hosted by the high school faculty at a breakfast at which the past year's individual students received their recognition: Yanelli Amaya, Abduhlah Khan, Ericha Quintyne Best, Bryce Cherry, Melissa Contreras, Gainely McCatty, Jack Sicoli, Stefanie Contreas Gomez, Alexia Gordon, Andielynn Llamas and Mikhail Amkudovych.
Also shown are the Amityville Rotary members who were able to attend: Jeff Goodkin, Michele Camilleri, Martha Peterson, Danielle Papendick, Wes Powell, Jo Pettit and Linda Thompson, Program Chair (Stan Newman had to leave a few minutes earlier).
